Initiative to build a vertical railway station

Metro stations in major cities such as London and New York are traditionally large structures, like the cathedrals. However, a new proposal raises the idea of building the world's first vertical station with the train "climbing" one side of the skyscraper.

The authors of the "Vertical Superstring Center" are British designers Christopher Christophi and Lucas Mazarrasa. They explained that the project was designed to address the challenges that will be faced by the cities around 2075.

The project is expected to provide a feasible solution for future transportation, which will save urban space and allow passengers to enter the station more conveniently.

The proposal of the Christophi-Mazarrasa Group transformed the traditional form of the current train station design into a large cylindrical structure. The anchor towers will, therefore, help to overcome the cost of building land compared to the traditional train station today.

According to the design team, the project will become part of an infrastructure that can be replicated in any city in the world, connecting it to become a network of super-fast and top-of-the-line trains. land. The super-fast trains of this new system are expected to be able to complete the distance of more than 480km in just 30 minutes.

When a new high-speed train moves and changes from horizontally to climbing the steep surface, the cars will rotate around the cylinder as in a rope, allowing passengers inside the car to remain in position. upright and overlooking the city. The carriages are anchored by a magnet structure installed on each side of the tower, so they do not need to be pulled down by the rails.

At the train station, passengers will move into the main hall, through the doors to leave the station or onto the train.
