Vietnamese users cannot access Skype

The most popular Internet phone software today - Skype has encountered a software problem last night, making millions of users worldwide unable to make calls or use the service.

According to the latest announcement on its website, many users were unable to log into Skype's homepage.

It is unclear how many "victims" of this incident are present, but Skype customers in Vietnam, Colombia, Brazil, Germany, Finland and the US are "sticky".

" Our engineering team has determined that this is a software bug. We plan to fix the problem within the next 12-24 hours ," Skype said.

Skype representatives also denied the assumption that the service is a hacker victim. " It's simply a problem in the algorithm. This algorithm controls the interaction between the user's Skype client software and the Skype network ."

If nothing arises, the service will be resumed tonight. Despite this inconvenience, many businesses and users still claim they will "not leave Skype".

Handle inexperience

The only thing he was unhappy with was the way Skype solved and fixed the problem. " Customers don't really understand what's going on. They should learn how to communicate more effectively ."

Estimated to date, Skype has about 220 million user accounts, with 5-6 million users accessing at any time. Skype urges users to continue running the program and they will be automatically logged in when the problem is fixed.

Skype uses P2P technology to connect calls, IM messages and videos between members. It is compatible with many different operating systems like Windows, Mac OS X, Pocket PC and Linux.

Besides PC-to-computer calls, Skype users can also use this program to connect to traditional mobile phones and landlines.
