68% of young people said brands were the most important thing when they bought goods, about 73% of young people were willing to pay a higher price for quality products. There are also more than 70% of young people looking to buy goods or services based on advertising information. However, young Vietnamese people do not follow many external influences but are attached to traditional Vietnamese values.

The habit of watching TV, listening to music and reading in the past is now reduced, but instead there is an increase in the likes of going to the street, playing sports, playing games and surfing the net. Young Vietnamese people have begun to pay much attention to digital media and products, and this trend has also begun to overwhelm traditional media products. A survey found that 52% of young people said they surfed the web at least once a week, which is impressive compared to 32% in 2002.

Vietnamese youth often go to supermarkets, trade centers, cinemas, cultural centers, stadiums . There have been new trends abroad in Vietnamese youth such as playing skateboards, balls basket, hip-hop dance, fashion.

According to Nicole Vooijs, there are more than 40 directions to reach young people, but TV is still the best way. So upgrading TV programs is the most effective medium (can be seen through the game show, music, MTV .).

Our country is also one of the countries with a young population, a fast and very potential growth rate. According to the survey, the average age in the Vietnamese population is 24, so this market is very potential and there are many opportunities, so there is also a need for an approach for this market segment. At this age, young people like challenges (56%), like to do risky things (39%), regularly practice sports to keep their bodies good (58%).
