Vietnam's biggest hacker website has DDoS attack
In the past two days, consecutive denial-of-service attacks were directed at the address www.hvaonline.net, causing the forum of the HVA hacker association to be completely paralyzed.
The interface of hvaonline.net captures at 4:15 pm on December 1
Yesterday, if visiting this website, people only receive the message: " The page cannot be displayed ". Currently the HVA has been restored and the website has been working properly.
An unnamed member of the HVA Board of Management said that hackers use many tricks, different ways to "play bad" this forum are . everyday things. However, this denial-of-service attack has twice as much destructive power as the most recent vandalism.
" The traces we captured show that the wicked have used the 'xflash' technique, which is the secret of placing a banner that has pre-installed the attack code on several websites with a large number of visitors " representative of HVA described. " Thus, every visitor to these websites automatically loaded that attack code and unknowingly became a trigger of valid commands that went straight to the HVA's server ."
He also revealed that if the previous destructive campaigns were only 10,000 syn / s (required per second), this attack would be around 16,000 syn / s. " Rarely is a server strong enough to withstand 'continuous' hit with such power ," said HVA's representative.
Currently, members of HVA do not know the author of the attack and continue to analyze the code to investigate. However, the location of the attack order was determined to be a free server in Japan.
Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are currently considered the number one cyber security risk and the terror of websites because of their very little ability to defend against it. Many people have not hesitated to express their views that this is the most condemnation trick in online vandalism.
