Visiting the 1,000-year windmill system still works well with Iranians
Sadly, this system is no longer used by people here and is in danger of being destroyed.
Nashtifan , a village in northern Iran, still uses an ancient energy source that is the windmill. This area often has strong winds and these windmills have appeared since 1,000 years ago. So far, they still work well.

Besides taking advantage of the wind, these clay, straw and wood windmills also protect the village from being vandalized by strong winds.
Even so, these 1,000-year-old windmills still work well in danger of being destroyed. They are currently only preserved and created by Ali Muhammad Etebari. Other people in the village, especially the young ones, do not want to continue Mr. Etebari's career.
