Vista enhances Internet Explorer 7 security features
Although Internet Explorer 7 was released a few weeks ago, this Microsoft user has not yet been able to see all of its new features. This happens because the version of IE7 for Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system has several other features that are not available in versions running on Windows XP.
The biggest difference in the version of IE7 is running on Vista, or IE7 +, inheriting the Vista interface in a sequence that includes the matte Aero Glass image of the windows.
IE 7+ also includes what is called Protected Mode, a browser version that protects applications through a temporary directory.
eWEEK Labs thinks that protection mode is the best solution to enhance IE 7+. But in fact we are looking forward to this feature in all versions of Microsoft browsers, so that it can prevent most access to spyware and Trojans.
Protection mode is set by default. It can be turned off, though we do not encourage it. If you have an application that requires protection to be turned off, you should change it.
Another feature found in IE 7+ is Parental Controls, designed to avoid unauthorized use of the internet and prevent users from accessing specific sites. As a name that is explicitly implied, this feature is designed as a parent-child relationship. Although this feature is designed in such a way that businesses can easily facilitate the unauthorized use of employees.
An example of using the Parental Controls feature we can define a web filter and allow locking pages through black and white lists.
We can also allow Internet Explorer on Vista to dynamically block pages by selecting high, medium or low control levels, or we can choose a familiar setting that allows us to choose. Different pages that we want to lock (like pages for kids or something). The Parental Controls feature also allows us to prevent downloading files from the browser.
In addition to these minor differences and some of the network advantages that Vista offers, Internet Explorer 7 on Vista is like a version for Windows XP.But the Aero Glass version is obviously easier to see.
