Vista-compatible products coming soon
Microsoft has announced that customers can purchase Windows Vista compatible products as soon as the operating system is released (Microsoft announced in March 2006, Windows Vista for joint customers). Industry will be available in November 2006 and for mass customers in January 2007).
On October 12, 2006, at the Digital Life 2006 conference and exhibition in New York (USA), Microsoft announced that more than 250 hardware and software products received 1 of 2 logos: "Certified for Windows Vista" ( can understand hardware compatible with Windows Vista) or "Works with Windows Vista" (application compatible with Windows Vista), will be available in November-December 2006.
Source: Microsoft In a speech at Digital Life, in addition to introducing products that are compatible with Vista, Microsoft Vice President of Windows Client Marketing, Mike Sievert also introduced some products that are still in the Compatibility tests like Canon's HV-10 high definition camcorder, Nvidia GeForce graphics card, Laser MX3200 wireless desktop and Logitech's MX Revolution mouse. Other companies such as Belkin, CA, Corel, D-Link Systems will have products labeled 'Certified for Windows Vista' at the same time as Vista launches.
To promote the amount of computers (PC) sold, Microsoft also released two PC logos: " Windows Vista Capable " (PCs can run low-end versions of Vista such as Windows Vista Home Basic) and "Windows Vista Premium Ready "(PCs can run high-end versions of Vista such as Windows Vista Home Premium and Windows Vista Ultimate).
