The new chipset of SiS supports Windows Vista
SiS has just announced the chipset is based on Intel mobile platform - SiSM671MX has been certified to be compatible with Vista, the next generation Windows operating system is expected to be released later this month (consumer version).
The SiSM671MX chipset will support Intel Pentium M CPUs, and DDR2 667 memory. This chipset's SiS Mirage 3 integrated graphics engine will provide acceleration for 3D virtual effects for the Aero user interface, A key feature of the high-end Vista version.
SiS also said that the new chipset has been adopted by a number of computer assemblers, and is being integrated for PC products that are about to hit the market.
