'Windows Vista will quickly replace Windows XP'
According to David Mitchell, an expert with market consulting firm Ovum, 15% of PC users will switch to Vista right at the beginning of the new operating system. Previously, for Windows XP, this number was about 12% -14%.
" Windows Vista will be the fastest converted operating system ever, " Mitchell said. " Computer systems at companies participating in the registration program ensure that Microsoft software will automatically update to Vista. Regular customers have a very high demand for this product ."
The latest operating system comes to businesses tomorrow (November 30) and individual users have the opportunity to use it from January 2007. The timing of the shopping season to celebrate Christmas and New Year will help Windows Vista get the attention.
