According to the Huffington Post, the Etna volcanic eruption on November 24 has a great power, firing many sharp stones hundreds of kilometers away from the Strait of Messina to the mainland of Italy, like a hail. Volcanic eruptions blew up ash, covered and stained black across the streets of this area.

A video recorded images of black ash and stones scattered everywhere when a volcanic eruption occurred. The waves of the sea turned black and opaque because of the forms of matter fired from the volcano. Black ash layers cover cars, roads and many other buildings.

After the volcano stopped erupting, many local people had to use brooms to clean the layers of ash and rock. Many people use water spraying from above to wash the thick, black dirt on the car.

However, according to local authorities, volcanic eruptions are not life threatening for people in the region.

Etna volcanic eruptions sometimes cause serious damage. In 1992, Mount Etna erupted lava to evacuate many people.
