A tunnel located at a depth of 70m at the bottom of the Yangtze River is under construction in Wuhu city in Anhui province, China.

The project has a total length of nearly 6km, designed to be a two-way highway with 6 lanes, a maximum speed of 80km/h. Reportedly, this is the first tunnel of its kind to cross the river in Anhui province.
