Water in China is polluted again
Many places in Wuxi City in Jiangsu Province have found water pollution. The official Xinhua news agency said the water used in many families smells very unpleasant and cannot be used since the end of last month.
(Photo: Travelaboutinc) According to investigators, the reason is that the water level in Thai Ho, the main source of water for the city's water supply, has reached its lowest level in the last 50 years when the season Summer begins. High temperatures and low rainfall have caused Thai Ho water to change. These factors stimulated green algae to grow early in the spring, affecting water quality.
By the afternoon of May 30, at many supermarkets in Wuxi, the stalls selling pure water were no longer available. Many people began to stock up on any kind of beverage that they found could be used and lined up to buy bread because of fears that food made from contaminated water would affect health.
Yesterday afternoon 1.6, the new water purifier announced that the water quality was somewhat improved and it was possible that people could get clean water today. In the past few years, along with food safety concerns, people in many places in China have had difficulties because of contaminated drinking water and living.
