The attack took place on December 18, in the waters of northern Sydney, 400 meters from the shore. This is the sea where there are many white sharks that live because they often come close to the shore to feed and their main source of food is salmon.
Greg Ross, a 41-year-old volunteer lifeguard, was standing on the side of the boat when the white shark rushed to attack, biting hard on the paddle beside the boat.
Two teeth left over on a paddle.
Greg Ross said: "White sharks prick up, bite into wooden paddles. The attack is horrifying, just like the scenes in the movie Jaws. At that time, I know for sure that this shark only bites. I could not get into my paddle, but I could not bite at my feet, and the oars were quite big and I thought sharks were a seal, it flipped the oars from the bottom of the water and bit them in. I heard a crack. This shark is about 3 meters long, and although he is young, this is a beefy shark, and after he bites his teeth into the paddle, he starts to struggle hard to free himself. After I removed my teeth from the paddle, I saw blood spilling out of its way . "
Greg Ross also said that broken teeth will quickly grow. Georgia, 12, Ross's daughter retained two of the shark's teeth as a souvenir.
