Why are we gritted?
At first glance it looks like an extremely political image, but here only concerns your mouth, an outrageous reflex of the jaw.
Teeth grinding is a disorder that occurs both in children and adults. It wears the enamel of the anterior jaw teeth, which is the main chewing part, and causes severe headaches or jaw pain. Most of us chew both during sleep and wake up, but sleep-induced teeth grinding disorder occurs with a thicker frequency. One study found that people who had teeth grinding at night had to suffer from 5-6 such episodes per hour of sleep, compared with 1-2 times in those without the disorder.
The cause of this disease is related to stress and anxiety. Stress therapy will help control that behavior. Dental protection is also effective, and is twice as useful if you exercise a little before going to bed.
