Why do people believe in UFOs?

Human intelligence is doing more amazing things, such as creating machines to help people set foot on another planet, but people still harbor a strange belief with things like UFO. So where is the reason?

Human intelligence is doing more amazing things, such as creating machines to help people set foot on another planet, but people still harbor a strange belief with things like UFO. So where is the reason?

According to Live Science, the National Geographic Society conducted a poll of 80 million Americans about whether they believed there were UFOs. The results show that up to 36% of Americans believe that having UFOs, only 17% do not believe. The remaining people have not made a decision yet. In this survey, other interesting figures were obtained, as 80% of the people surveyed said the government was hiding information about UFOs, 77% believed that aliens had visited Earth.

The proportion of people who believe in the existence of UFOs in this survey is quite consistent with other surveys conducted in previous years. The Gallup survey in 2001 also showed that the number of people who believe in haunted, demonic houses is more than believing in UFOs.

According to the National Geographic Society's survey results, up to 77% of Americans believe that aliens have visited the earth. They believe in mystical stories and peaceful encounters, like aliens that help humanity build great civilizations, namely the construction of Egyptian pyramids.

Meanwhile, only 13% of 1,114 people are concerned that extraterrestrials will attack them. Clearly, sci-fi films like "Independence Day" and "Signs" did not make much impact.

Most scientists think that belief in UFOs is motivated by the fact that people are always trying to find a bigger meaning than the universe and the relationship of people with strange objects. Stories such as the visit of aliens are simply post-industrial versions of fairy tales, demons and other fantasy characters.

There are also opinions that this belief is not simply related to theology. Imagining aliens built on our own image: they are as curious as we are, they build telescopes like us and them, also have a strong incentive to spend time. time and other resources to prove that you do not exist alone in this universe. Also, there are people who believe in UFOs just because it's interesting.
