Why does the fan feel cool?

When we fan the fan, we scare away the hot air in the face and th Picture 1 of Why does the fan feel cool? So it is with cold air. By the time this new gas layer heated up, it was replaced by another layer of hot air . Because of that, I always felt comfortable.

In fact, after the air layer directly adheres to our face, it becomes an invisible air capture facing our face , "warming" our face, meaning delaying the loss of heat at there. If this air layer is not mobile, it will only be pushed up very slowly by the surrounding cold air (and heavier).

But when we take that fan away, our face will always be exposed to new layers of air that haven't heated up yet, and transfer heat to those air layers. From there, our bodies get cold and feel cool.

That also means that, in a crowded room, fanning helps us feel cool, by taking away the cold air around others, and pushing hot air towards them.
