Wikipedia first entered the Top 10 Website

This online encyclopedia dictionary has made a spectacular breakthrough when it first appeared in the list of the 10 most popular websites in the United States.

According to comScore statistics, Wikipedia ranked 9th with 42.9 million visitors in January 2007, surpassing the website of The New York Times (Grade 10), Apple (rank 11) and Viacom International (grade 12).

Although it has been listed on the 10 most visited websites in the world for a long time, this is the first time, Wikipedia has achieved this title in its homeland.

Volunteers will contribute to the content of the encyclopedia, and anyone who has access to Wikipedia can edit and edit as they wish.

In December 2006, Wikipedia ranked 6th in the list of Top 10 global websites with nearly 165 million visitors, comScore said.
