Write in the air!

SMK Group (Japan) said it has researched and successfully built the "wireless computer pen" that can transfer the characters written from the air displayed on the computer screen.

This unique pen was introduced at the 2008 Texpo exhibition in Tokyo in early June 2008, including a three-axis accelerometer sensor and a set of Bluetooth functions.

The sensor detects character position information and recognizes the written character. These characters will be transmitted wirelessly to the screen via Bluetooth. Maximum transmission distance is 10m.

The researchers said the pen will be used to replace laser lights in presentations and presentations.

According to SMK, this is the first pen in the world that can transmit characters written in the air to a computer screen. SMK is currently registering this patent.
