Scientists have been debating for decades about why people are intelligent. Now, INC magazine has gathered 10 characteristics that prove you are a genius.

You are the eldest

The first children receive the full attention of their parents in the early years of life. When I have you, they become "teachers" , thereby strengthening the knowledge structure and promoting intelligence. Research on 250,000 Norwegian teenagers aged 18-19 shows that the older siblings have an IQ score of 2.3 points higher than the average.

You are slim

According to a French study, lean people remember better than fat people. Specifically, the group of volunteers with BMI from 20 or less remembered 56% of the vocabulary in the test, while the group with BMI of 30 or more only remembered 44%. Five years later, when doing this test again, the completion rate of the BMI group dropped to 37.5% while the other group remained unchanged.

You are left-handed

Left-handed people not only memorize well but are flexible, good at spatial skills and very creative, researchers from Athens University (Greece) concluded.

You're funny

A work done in the 1970s shows that comedians always score higher than average in IQ tests. Specifically, IQ results of comedians are about 126 (females) and 138 (males) while the popularity of ordinary people is 90-100.

Humor has been proven to involve creative minds, the ability to speak and appeal to the opposite sex.

You are tall

Scientists from Princeton University (USA) found that 1.80m tall people earn more money than 1.65m tall people thanks to superior intelligence.

Research by the University of Madrid (Spain) indicates that people who stay up late have higher IQ, earn more money and have a more comfortable life than those who sleep early, get up early.

You are shy

According to The Gifted Development Center (USA), 60% of smart children inwardly and 75% of IQs of 160 or more are very embarrassed.

You are breastfed

Brazilian scientists have watched 6,000 people since birth until the year 30 and found that babies fed with breast milk grew smart, successful and wealthy.

You are curious

Research by Harvard University (USA) shows that curious people often generate many unique ideas and learn more and more knowledge.
