Panic of thousands of sharks surrounding the US coast

Tourists stand on the shore in panic as they see sharks gathering in the coast.

Thousands of sharks have recently gathered around the coast of Florida, making tourists extremely frightened, Mirror reports.

Stephen M Kajiura, professor of biological sciences at Florida Atlantic University, photographed the beach being sealed by Blacktip sharks . This is said to be the shark responsible for most attacks on people in Florida.

They are capable of swimming in shallow water, only about 30cm deep. March and April are the time when they appear in the greatest number. And this is also the time when thousands of tourists flock to the sea during the spring vacation.

Blacktip sharks have an average length of 1.5 m and mostly eat small fish.

The majority of these shark attacks only cause minor injuries, when the human eye is thought to be a familiar prey.

These special images show thousands of sharks swimming, only a few meters from the coast. Visitors stand on the shore, do not dare to step into the water.

Professor Kajiura is the one who oversees the movement of sharks annually by counting the number of sharks and tagging many individuals.
