Vietnamese scientists have studied and manufactured fluorescent powder specialized in tissue culture, helping plants to be healthy and not deformed.

At the Center for Forestry Science and Production (Quang Ninh) specializes in producing all kinds of seedlings by tissue culture method, using 100% artificial light, 16/24 hours lighting time.

Previously lighting with HQ T10-40W fluorescent lamps, trees still grow but the uniformity rate is not high. Now all lighting systems are replaced with HQ NN B / R , tested on three-click trees and orchids.

With a three-size tree, the growth rate is faster than the old one. In the past, when rearing in old lights, 30 days of trees had an average height of 10.53cm. Using the new light system, 24 days the tree grows the same height. Plant tissue under the new light for body fat, healthy, big leaves, no deformities.

Orchid orchids, when reared under the old light, often grow unevenly, the leaves are long and bad, the quality of average trees. Under the new light, the tree grows better, green leaves, bigger and healthier trees.

MSc Ngo Thi Nguyet, Deputy Director of the Center for Forestry Science and Production, said that because the new lighting system has a stronger illumination intensity, the light is concentrated, the plant has a bright light, grows tall, straight and develops. strong at tops. The light of the new lights diffuses evenly around the culture tank so the leaves in the lower layer of the plants have the ability to photosynthesize and breathe better than the old ones.

"NN NN B / R lamps save electricity, reduce electricity costs by half compared to before, so we choose this as an alternative to today's tissue culture laboratory," Nguyet said.

HQ NN B / R is the result of branch project, research and development of technology for manufacturing 3-component fluorescent powder with emission spectra suitable for tissue culture, advanced by the Institute of Science and Technology (Dai Polytechnic) chaired, under the state-level project "Research, design and manufacture of specialized lighting systems and build a process of using specialized lighting systems in the breeding industry and flowering control some crops with industrial scale ".

Mr. Nguyen Doan Thang, General Director of Rang Dong Light Bulb Joint Stock Company, chairman of the project, said the reality of cultivation poses the need to manufacture specialized lamps for lighting in tissue culture rooms. and controlling flowering of chrysanthemum, dragon fruit with light spectrum suitable for absorption spectrum of Chlorophyll, phytochrome. This issue is completely new and has never been studied in Vietnam.

Through the National Technology Innovation Program until 2020, the Ministry of Science and Technology assigned Rang Dong Water and Light Bulb Joint Stock Company to preside over, together with research agencies, to produce more than 20 types of powder.
