Samsung unveiled a 4-inch, 0.05-mm wide OLED display model at the international forum for flat panel manufacturers (FPD International 2008) taking place in Yokohama (Japan).

According to a Samsung spokesperson, if only the platform itself is calculated, they can make it even thinner, but due to having to connect the circuit, the new plate can glow to display the content, so the company This decision only stops at 0.05 mm.
To achieve such thinness, Samsung did not attach the OLED base plate to a glass layer as usual, but replaced that with a thinner polysilicon film. The circuit will be formed from transistors mounted on that polysilicon membrane.
According to the manufacturer's information, this ultra-thin OLED screen is 4 inches wide, has a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels, a contrast ratio of 100,000: 1, brightness of 200 cd / m 2 . The color range that can be displayed on this monitor is 100% of the NTSC standard.
