According to the local people, this rock was built by Merlin. In fact, Stonehenge appeared before Merlin - who was dear to King Arthur - was born.

How can one transport extremely heavy stones from a distance of hundreds of kilometers? The area around Stonehenge had no place to exploit stone, meaning that people had to transport these stones from far away.

The purpose of this construction is not clear. Although it is an astronomical observatory because the position of the rock niches is true to the celestial bodies in the solar system, or it is a place of prayer to the gods when Celtic priests have used it, we still don't know be exactly who used it for what.

There are still many unresolved questions around these ancient temples. The ancient Romans had no technique to carry stones weighing up to 1,000 tons and build this huge temple.
