11th IT - Electronic Exhibition in 2006

From 11 - 15 July 2006 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam International Data Group (IDG Vietnam), Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce & Industry will co-organize the ' Exhibition IT - Electronics 2006 '(Vietnam Computer Electronics World Expo 2006) and' Vietnam Information Technology & Communication Conference 2006 '(VCW & VIO 2006).

Mr. Le Thanh Tam, General Director of IDG Vietnam, said: ' As every year, VCW & VIO 2006 will continue to be an important event for government officials, policy makers and experts in related fields meet together as well as exchange their views and experiences on ICT development trends, and update information on the most advanced technologies. This will create good conditions for the implementation of large-scale ICT initiatives and projects. VCW & VIO 2006 also creates a bridge for domestic and international enterprises to expand their business networks as well as promote new opportunities '.

Mr. Tam also added that this year's exhibition will expand into items in the Digital and Entertainment Electronics industry - currently two important trends in the world. According to Mr. Tam, there have been more than 180 domestic and foreign companies (EU, US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Korea, etc.) registered to participate, with many well-known companies like Sony. , Canon, Intel, Hitachi, Fuji Film . The organizing committee estimates that there will be about 250,000 visitors to the exhibition, reaching a record so far.

The seminar program will include more than 20 presentations. One of the topics of interest is Content Industry, a topic that has received much attention this year. Some other topics include:

- IT strategy: How can IT leaders (CIOs) restructure IT systems to serve growth?
- Human resource structure and processes to create a dynamic IT organization.
- User's view of planning and deployment of emerging technologies.
- The future of IT leadership (CIO).
- Combining IT application with business objectives.

The event took place with 2 main activities:

- The workshop will take place at New World Hotel, 76 Le Lai, District 1, from 10 - 11 July 2006.
- The exhibition will be held at the Ho Chi Minh City International Convention & Exhibition Center (HIECC), 446 Hoang Van Thu, Tan Binh District, from 12-15 July 2006.
