2 GB flash memory chip with write speed of 17 Mb / sec
South Korean electronics firm Samsung said it has succeeded in expanding the capacity for the world's fastest memory chip, OneNAND. This version is developed based on 60 nm production technology.
Samsung's new OneNAND chip doubles 1 GB in the old version to 2 GB and increases the write speed from 9.3 Mbps to 17 Mbps.
Equipped with NAND technology, with high read speed, and outstanding storage capability of NAND, OneNAND products promise to be integrated in many different applications, from multimedia phones, digital cameras. to removable memory cards, computers and digital TVs.
With high performance, OneNAND is considered an important catalyst in setting up new product markets, such as turning OneNAND into a hybrid hard disk cache.
