According to the BBC, the chair was found in a Roman fort in Northumberland, northeastern England. It was discovered in a mud groove that had been covered by garbage.

Experts believe that the chair dates back 2,000 years and this is the only discovery of this kind. The chair is made of a solid piece of wood and looks quite convenient.

"We have known many types of toilets dating back to Roman times in previous excavations. However, we have never seen a wooden chair still intact so far as in the play. Currently, "said Dr. Andrew Birley, head of the excavation team. Previous research results have shown that marble toilets were used in the Roman empire.

The excavation area on each discovered the coins of silver, gold and some other artifacts from the Roman army.
