4.1 million USD for marine conservation in Vietnam
This money is used to support the sustainable livelihood needs of communities living in and around marine protected areas.

In the signing ceremony of the document and the start-up workshop on the Sustainable Livelihood Component within and around the MPA (BTB), which took place on March 21, 2006, the Danish Government funded the component ' Livelihoods ' sustainable in and around marine protected areas ' is 4.1 million USD.
This component continues to support Vietnam to further develop its network of protected areas based on the national legal framework and effective management system of the BTB at the local level.
In particular, focus on supporting sustainable livelihood needs of communities living in and around protected areas.
The two demonstration conservation areas will continue to receive support from the Danish Government, Cu Lao Cham (Quang Nam province) - a historical and cultural relic associated with the formation and development of Hoi An urban town. The Sustainable Livelihood component within and around the marine protected area is one of five components under the Environment Cooperation Development Program between the Government of Vietnam and the Kingdom of Denmark in the period of 2005-2010.
