The United Nations World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is the organization that monitors the temperature and weather situation around the world to publish an annual report. But on May 18, they first announced five catastrophic disasters with the highest number of deaths ever recorded.

WWO is trying to strengthen the early warning system of extreme weather patterns , especially as the world population is growing rapidly and climate change is getting worse. The statistics are only estimates because there are many different reasons that the actual number of deaths has not yet been announced.

'Severe weather seriously devastates human life and causes great loss and loss not only of money but also of human life. Part of the responsibility belongs to the disaster monitoring and warning system. The development of this system will minimize the consequences of future natural disasters , 'WWO Secretary General Petteri Taalas said.
