5 things to note before installing Office 2007

You are intending to "adventure" with Office 2007, because "heard", the new software interface is quite nice and convenient. Please refer to the following comments, posting from TechWeb magazine before you decide to install the beta of Office 2007 .

1. Download Microsoft Office

Office 2007 beta 2 is still available for download, while Windows Vista has expired from last Friday. With a capacity of about 550 MB, and especially with the quality of Vietnam Internet connection, it is best to buy an external installation CD.

2. Shelf life

The expiration date of this test is 1-2-2007. After this date, the test version is still active but many functions will be turned off.

It is also possible that Microsoft will move the term, so please follow up to update the best information to be able to use it longer.

3. Note with the default archive format

Office 2007 storage with the default format is Open XML if the text is the website and OpenDocument Format with the format is archived. These formats are not supported by Offices 2003, so be very careful when storing documents with Offices 2007. It will be very troublesome if you neglect.

Solution: upgrade the latest Office 2003 patches to support viewing XML and ODF files. If not, you can also change the default 2007 Office save format, after it has been installed.

4. Be patient with new user interface (UI).

The user interface is one of the most important upgrades of Office 2007, however, according to a preliminary survey, many people are uncomfortable with this new look.
