Security agency and immigration inspection of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, found this fossil number when checking two items sent from the United States.

According to the researchers, fossils are identified as belonging to an ancient creature called Mosasaurus , living in the Cretaceous period (Dai Trung Sinh) about 70 million years ago. They take the form of a crocodile-like paddle, a long jaw, often living in an area near the ocean's surface.

ECNS said it was the first time that the Mosasaurus fossil was discovered in China.

Chinese law prohibits all individuals and organizations from entering or returning fossils to the country without permission from the customs. This case is being investigated by local customs.
