Discovering fossil fish fossils 152 million years

Recently, Indian scientists discovered a 152 million-year-old fossil of sea fish - an extinct marine reptile.

The team of scientists from India and Germany suggested that the new fossil could be Ophthalmosauridae , one of the "family" of fishermen who live in many oceans from 90-165 million years ago.

According to the BBC, this is the first time fossil fisheries have been found in India.

Fossils were discovered inside the rock in the Kutch desert, Gujarat state, dating back to the Dai Trung Sinh period about 66 - 252 million years ago.

Professor Guntupalli VR Prasad, the head of the study, said fossils are 5.5m long and almost intact, except for a few details of the head and tail bones that have been lost.

"This is a great discovery not only because of the first time to find seahorses from the Jurassic period in India, but it also evokes the development and biodiversity of the fish in the Indo-Madagascar region.

At the same time, the discovery also shows that Indian biology is linked to other continents during the Jurassic period, such as the relationship between India and South America 150 million years ago, " Prasad said.

Fishermen are often mistaken for a "swimming dinosaur" , first appearing in the early period of the Three-Dragon Period from 199-251 million years ago. Fishermen also have a folk name as "fish lizard" although it was listed as a reptile, not a fish class from the mid-19th century.

Fisheries have a length of 1-14m, but average 2-3m. Highlights of them are sharp and sharp teeth, making scientists think this is the top predator in the ocean the day before.

The extinct dinosaurs were earlier than the dinosaurs, at the end of the Cretaceous period, from 65.5 to 145.5 million years ago.
