The shallow dolphins are not a strange phenomenon, but this event is extremely unusual, because the number of strands is too much this time, Katie Moore, manager of the International Foundation's International Animal Research and Rescue Team. International Fund for Animal Welfare said.

Winter and early spring are times when dolphins often run aground, this time of the year is unusually warm. This may have affected the movement of prey, causing many dolphins to run aground.
