136 dolphin trapped, dead carpet on the West African coast of unknown cause
More than 160 dolphins are trapped in a series of unexplained mysterious incidents, of which about 130 have died on the West African coast.
Locals and tourists have just been shocked to find about 163 dolphins trapped on the waters of Boa Vista Island, BIOS Cape Verde, West Africa.
136 dolphins stranded dead on the coast of West Africa.
Hundreds of volunteers tried to get the animals back to the blue sea, but more than 130 died mysteriously without a chance to survive.
Scientists from the BIOS took samples from 50 dolphins and froze four corpses, to conduct an autopsy to find the cause.
A local official said there were no specific explanations for the death of the dolphin. Veterinarians from Las Palmas University in the Canary Islands, Spain are also conducting an analysis and finding the cause.
Experts speculate that the cause of this large number of trappings could be due to illness, a rapidly falling tide, or a school of fish hunted by a large predator or the weather being too harsh.
