Teachers at a Botswana school were forced to stop teaching after many students saw "a humanoid creature" on May 24.

The incident occurred at Mathiba Elementary School in Maun City, Botswana at around 12 noon on May 24 local time. Acro Maseko, director of the city's Education and Skills Development Department, says many sixth and seventh graders see an organism with black fur on their bodies. The creature had a very human-like shape but its smaller body size, The Voice reported.

Dozens of students fell into a state of panic and ran out of the classroom, leaving the remaining students unable to concentrate on their studies. Teachers have to take 10 children to the school clinic for treatment. After that, the school administration decided to let students leave school and go home.

"We asked the experts to help us find out , " Mr. Maseko said.

The director added that the incident occurred when the students in the 7th grade of the school were ready to take the semester exam. Therefore, it is very likely that the stressful state of the exam makes them hallucinate. According to him, similar incidents have occurred at the school in the past.
