Festo, an international automotive technology developer, designed and created the Airacuda, a remote-controlled pneumatic pneumatic fish.

In addition to the actual shape and movement, Airacuda was propelled by a mechanical finnage transmission system. Two pairs of liquid muscles control its caudal fin movements, while the directional adjustment is due to two subcentric muscles.

Want to sink, the balance in Airacuda body will be filled with water. When the compartment is drained and filled with gas, the fish will float to the surface, much like a submarine.

The machine is on display at the exhibition entitled " Design and Thought of Elasticity " at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, USA.
