With the people of Nha Trang coastal city (Khanh Hoa) in particular, Vietnamese people in general, Alexandre Yersin's life and career are always mentioned with respect. He has nearly 50 years of living, working, scientific research in Nha Trang and leaving his life here. He has completed 55 scientific research projects, mostly medicine, of which 50 works were written in Nha Trang. A Yersin was also the founder of Pasteur Institute Nha Trang (1895), Hanoi Pasteur Institute (1920), Hanoi Medical University; is the explorer and discovered the Langpiang plateau .

When he died, the local people took his body to rest on Nui Mot hill, in Suoi Cat commune, Dien Khanh district. The complex of memorial relics related to A. Yersin's life and career includes: A memorial and library room of A.Yersin at Nha Trang Pasteur Institute; Linh Son Pagoda is located in Suoi Cat commune, Dien Khanh district, where he lived and worked all the time at Suoi Dau Experimental Camp; A. Yersin grave is located on a small hill not far away. In 1990, the Ministry of Culture and Information ranked this relic population as a national-level historical monument.

Over time, A. Yersin's grave was degraded. In June 2004, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to invest in the project of restoring the tomb of Doctor A.Yersin. The investor of this project is Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Information, investment capital from the provincial budget and implemented in 2005.

Department of Culture and Information of Khanh Hoa has signed a contract with Khanh Hoa Urban Architecture Consulting Joint Stock Company to formulate a construction investment project. But when this unit conducted survey, measurement and topographic mapping of the whole relic area, it was prevented by people from Nha Trang Vaccine and Nha Trang Pasteur Institute. These are the two units that are managing the entire area of approximately 150 hectares for scientific research, of which nearly 6.7 hectares in this area are part of A.Yersin. The reason these two units make a decision when " not allowing " is: " Wait for the direction of the managing agency to be the Ministry of Health".

After so many times, in September 2005, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued Official Letter 4144 / UBND to the Ministry of Health, asking the Ministry to direct Nha Trang Pasteur Institute and Nha Trang Vaccine to facilitate professional agencies. of Khanh Hoa province to implement the above-mentioned renovation project. But since then, the Ministry of Health has not had any co-operation, causing the project to " hang " right from the start.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Bai, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Culture and Information, said: A.Yersin relics are always visited and memorialed by many domestic and foreign tourists. The restoration of the tomb of A. Yersin is only intended to better preserve this monument, better serve the cultural tourism work, but do not understand the reason why the Ministry of Health and the two institutes mentioned above Salty cooperation? Proposing the Ministry of Health to consider this issue.
