Most of this salt comes from processed foods. and food at the restaurant, reducing salt intake will help our children avoid serious health problems ".
According to this report, lunch and dinner are the most salty meals of the day. About 65% of the salt is from store-bought food, 13% from fast food and pizza and 9% from food in the school canteen.
CDC advises parents to regularly give their children plenty of vegetables and fruits and healthy and unprocessed foods.
The school can help by reducing the amount of salt in school food and other options of low-salt foods at vending machines and school canteens.
