National Geographic magazine (Nat Geo) has just revealed the most impressive moments of nature in 2024 captured through the camera lens.

There are only two northern white rhinos left on Earth. The two females are guarded 24/7 by armed guards at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. The species has been hunted to extinction, but a promising solution has emerged. In January, scientists from an international project called BioRescue announced that they had successfully bred northern white rhinos using in vitro fertilization. The 2,750-square-kilometer Similipal Tiger Reserve
in eastern India is home to the world's only wild population of pseudo-melanistic tigers (also known as black tigers because of their broad black stripes). This unique coat color is the result of a genetic mutation found only in the Similipal tiger population. Similipal tigers are shy and rarely show themselves in public. Every 13-17 years
, underground cicadas emerge to reproduce . Macaws
are very sociable birds and can be stressful in captivity. They have an average lifespan of 40-60 years. Many of the birds are brought to the Oasis Sanctuary, which professionally cares for 800 parrots, including macaws. The temple is located in the Pamir Mountains
of Tajikistan and is maintained by the indigenous Wakhi community. It is rich in animism, Zoroastrianism and Buddhism. In this photo, a large tree has fallen on the temple. Every spring, Morocco holds a festival to celebrate the rose harvest . Typically, women pick the buds early in the morning before they bloom. Thousands of buds are then sorted by hand. The best are distilled into rose oil and rose water; the rest are dried to make tea or wreaths.
