AMD is about to announce the first two 65nm chips
AMD will unveil two latest chips that will be manufactured on a 65nm technology line next year - the Rev G Turion 64 X2 and Mobile Sempron.
The Rev G Turion 64 X2, codenamed "Tyler", will be released in the second quarter of 2007. This dual-core chip line is equipped with DDR2-800 memory and many extensions for Turion Rev F series. 64 X2 — current TL-XX.
Meanwhile, Mobile Sempron (codenamed "Keene") will be put into production in the third quarter of 2007 and is expected to be available by the end of next year.
AMD is preparing for the transformation of the production technology of the Turion 64 X2 and Mobile Sempron series to the 65nm platform, starting in the first quarter of 2008.
