AMD released a set of three Phenom quad-core chips
Yesterday (July 1), AMD officially unveiled three new Phenom X4 quad-core processors - including the Phenom Black Edition high-end chip.
Phenom X4 9950 Black Edition - clocked at 2.6GHz - is designed specifically for gamers and enthusiasts of high speed processing power.
Also released is the 2.0GHz Phenom X4 9350e and 1.8GHz Phenom X4 9150e. These are two products designed specifically for users who prefer energy-saving products.
"The energy consumption of all three AMD products mentioned above does not exceed 65watt but still gives users great performance," AMD said.
"The idea that AMD wants to reach is to design compact PCs with high power savings, less space and less noise in the process."
Last April AMD also launched three Phenom quad-core chips. This is considered the leading product of the world's second-largest chip manufacturer.
Jim McGregor, an analyst with In-Stat, said that launching new products at this time was a good step for AMD because last year it had to deal with the issue. development stagnated and many times have to postpone Phenom processing chips
