America: Forest fire burns 136 houses

Big fire in the area around Fourmile gorge, near the town of Boulder, Colorado, USA, burned at least 136 houses. This is the most devastating fire in this state's history.

According to the AP, the area of fire extends in an area of about 25 km 2 , more than 3,500 people have to evacuate, four people are missing when trying to stay to protect the property. In the 2002 forest fire - the " record " of forest fires in Colorado covers an area of 526 km 2 but due to the occurrence in a remote area, only 133 houses were destroyed.

Firefighters took advantage of the cool weather and light rain to fire but the government admitted they did not handle the incident well. AP said more than 300 firefighters are on the scene and others are on their way. Besides fire fighting, they have many other obstacles in their work such as avoiding broken power lines, rubble, gas and toxic smoke arising from the fire and rattlesnakes evacuating from the forest. . Current conditions are still dangerous for people to return and check their housing condition.
