America honors Vietnamese scientist

In the framework of the 2013 annual meeting, the US House of Representatives of Hawaii and the US have just issued a resolution to grant the certificate of honor to Dr. Nguyen Huu Ninh, a Vietnamese national and a Nobel Peace Prize member of the Intergovernmental Committee on Variables Climate Change (IPCC).

Dr. Ninh is the only Vietnamese scientist to participate in the fourth IPCC report. He is a co-author of this report receiving the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.

In 2002, he received an honorary doctorate from the University of East Anglia (UK), the world's leading research facility on climate change. In 2009, he received the title of Professor and Honorary Doctor of the University of Pécs (Hungary) - the oldest university of Hungary, founded in the 14th century.
