A newly announced Vietnamese student won the "Green Talents" award of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Pham Van Quan is one of twenty outstanding young scientists from countries around the world who have been honored with the topic "Energy-saving solutions to minimize the impacts of climate change" , Dai German embassy in Hanoi said yesterday.

Pham Van Quan is a PhD student at Hanoi Architectural University. He is currently working for two projects at the University of Architecture and Tokyo University. A project focused on developing a balanced water use system in Hanoi to meet climate change. The other project is called Huong River Water System Management and Hue City.

The jury appreciated Pham Van Quan's research idea of ​​understanding and managing the city comprehensively, focusing on the relationship between water and energy. His research has shown weaknesses as well as disconnection in urban systems, which are necessary support solutions for fast-growing cities in Asia.
