Anousheh Ansari, an Iranian-American citizen, will become the first female passenger in the world to visit the International Station, when she flies with Russian Soyuz missiles on September 14.
Ansari was chosen to take the position of Daisuke Enomoto, a Japanese business owner after he failed to pass the health examination round, to join the 10-day flight.

39-year-old Ansari is the president and founder of Prodea Systems, a digital family technology company.
"She has an official name on the Soyuz TMA-9 flight list , " Space Adventures, which cooperates with the Russian Space Agency to bring guests to space, announced.
