American investment is directed to the Internet and Asia markets
Although there are no specific funding strategies yet, investors in this country are very interested in companies operating in the field of energy, global networking and businesses in Asia.
Survey in early December of NVCA Investors Association (USA) showed that companies specializing in developing Internet applications such as Web 2.0 software, social networks . will continue to earn millions of USD in 2007.
As expected, total investment in energy companies will be 90% higher than in 2006, while Internet and multimedia applications will also increase by about 70%. More than 90% of investors affirmed that they are closely monitoring the market of China, India and other countries in Asia.
The amount of venture capital is generally not too high compared to 2 years ago. Nearly 70% of the survey participants predicted that the total capital would be in the range of 20-29 billion USD next year, while in 2005 it was 27 billion USD and 3 first quarters of 2006 reached 25.4 billion USD.
They also believe that the level of competition will increase and 48% of participants confirmed that the number of venture capital companies will decrease significantly after 2007.
