Apophis asteroid will not hit the Earth
(Photo: techno-science.net) Director of the Russian Academy of Sciences Boris Choustov has confirmed that the probability of collisions between asteroids Apophis and Earth on Friday 13 April 2029 is not.
According to Choustov, in 2029, Apophis asteroids will glide across the Earth with a distance of 38,000 to 40,000km. Errors can be as high as 10,000km.
But a more serious threat will stalk Earth in 2036, when Apophis flies near our planet. However, according to the Russian researcher, the probability of collisions is still ' low ' at this time.
Asteroid named ' Apophis ', the dark god and chaos in Egyptian mythology, is 320m long. This asteroid was discovered in June 2004.
