On July 6, VPCP announced: The Prime Minister agreed to approve the project "Developing A / H5N1 influenza vaccine in Vietnam" with a total value of USD 975,000.

The project is organized by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a non-refundable aid for vaccine and biological product company No. 1 - Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (under the Ministry of Health).

The Prime Minister also agreed on the principle of appointing a contractor to supply foot and mouth vaccines in 2006 from China to ensure the requirement of vaccination against foot and mouth disease in cattle.

The Prime Minister assigns the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to decide on the appointment of vaccine suppliers in accordance with current regulations and take responsibility for their decisions.
