Artificial intelligence was able to write poems to deceive people's feelings

Even experts are difficult to distinguish poems - though bad, that is the product of AI and not new to human writing.

Historically, there have not been many cases of "playing around" people. Recently, an 'cooking' game of 'Game of royalty' to create 'Dungeon and Monster Dragons' also showed that the AI has not yet been able to produce such innate creativity.

Still, a new University of Tokyo study, published on arXiv, points out that even experts find it difficult to distinguish poems - badly evaluated - written by humans or AI.

Below is an example of two AI poems written:

'' The sun is a beautiful thing
Rising in silence
Between the trees
Only in the beginning of light ".

'I am a coal truck
Run by broken heart
I have no sound
Sound of the heart
I do not have".

To help AI write its own poetry, scientists built it an artificial neural network, serving to analyze thousands of written poems. And yet, they also asked many other authors to write to compare with the works of AI. And surprisingly, a group of 500 people (including 30 experts) were asked to distinguish between the poetry of AI and the poetry of the writer, the rate of false answers was superior.

The structure, words and semantics of the poems have made both ordinary people and experts confused, and although the expert's ability to accurately distinguish is still higher. The experiment was done using an online survey tool called Mechanical Turk developed by Amazon, with poems accompanied by images.

The researchers say this is a 'Turing-type experiment' to test whether AI is capable of deception, making people mistakenly assume that they are human. Although some AI poems are not so bad, it is clear that they are not creative, at least for poetry. Or it could be because people perceive and analyze poetry too badly.
