The astronauts received the New Year's Eve many times in a row and had a no-alcohol party.

According to NBC, with a height of more than 300km from the ground, astronauts took the standard GMT time. They will officially welcome the New Year at the same time as the British people.

The International Space Station (ISS) takes only 90 minutes to orbit the Earth. During that time, astronauts could watch 15 dawn times of the day. This means they can pick up 16 New Year's Eve in the New Year's Day.

Many people wonder about the dish that will appear at the astronauts' party. However, the only thing that is certain is that they do not drink alcohol. The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) absolutely prohibits alcoholic beverages in space. So astronauts will use softer drinks to welcome the new year. The favorite dish is usually fruit juice.

Food will be richer. They were chosen between fruits, nuts, chickens, cows, seafood . It is interesting that pepper and salt are packed into solutions, to avoid them being dispersed in the cabin.

The American astronauts often congratulate each other when ISS passes through their homeland. Just like on Earth, if the new year falls on a Sunday, astronauts get a second day off.

ISS is currently home to 6 astronauts from many different countries. It is a construction complex of cooperation between Russia and the US, circling the Earth at a speed of about 27,000 km per hour. This is also the most expensive space vehicle in the world.
