ASUSTek launches laptop
ASUSTek Computer has just introduced the "2-screen" CES laptop fair, which allows browsing some information without starting the system.
Besides the main display screen as usual, ASUSTek Computer's laptop is also equipped with an external 2.5-inch LCD screen. The main function of this monitor is to allow users to browse emails, view photos, videos or schedules even when the system is turned off.
ASUSTek Computer's new solution is based on a completely new feature of Windows Vista operating system - SideShow feature.
" When I am in the elevator, in the car, in a meeting or anywhere I want to check email or see someone's image I can use the SideShow feature and the screen second of the laptop and no need to boot the system , "said Raymond Chen - ASUSTek's vice president of marketing - confirmed.
The built-in display module in the secondary monitor has been programmed to synchronize the specified data types with the system at a certain time - when the system starts or when the system is off. All information will be stored on a Flash memory of 1GB capacity to display again when requested.
Thanks to the extremely low energy consumption, the screen can be used continuously for 50 hours to recharge the energy.
It is expected that the price of this laptop will be around $ 1,799 to $ 1,899. The product will be released on January 30th.
